The Benevolent Society - Customer Case Study

The Benevolent Society, Australia’s oldest independent not‑for‑profit, delivers services to families, older Australians and people with disability across several states. Facing an outdated, hard‑to‑manage CMS, obsolete links and a need to improve mobile support, accessibility, site structure and reporting, the organisation launched a digital transformation to increase brand awareness and make it easier for clients and carers to find services.

Elcom was engaged to lead an end‑to‑end implementation informed by UX workshops. The new site uses Elcom’s CMS with WCAG‑compliant templates, a Service Finder (taxonomy‑driven filters), a custom Service Location Checker, accessibility tools and a multisite newsletter with RSS and subscriptions. The result is a more accessible, user‑friendly site that boosts client acquisition and retention, simplifies publishing for non‑technical staff and continues to be enhanced through an ongoing partnership.
