Murray City Country Coast (MCCC) GP Training, formed in 2016 from the merger of four regional training providers and a participant in the Australian General Practice Training program, struggled with fragmented systems and poor communications. Legacy platforms persisted after the merger and a confusing shared network drive led to duplicated files, wrong document versions and difficulty locating important policies and procedures.
After a rigorous vendor selection process Elcom’s intranet was chosen and launched, providing a centralised, Office 365- and Active Directory-integrated platform with a clear information architecture, document hub and dynamic pages. The new intranet became the single entry point for systems and documents, reduced maintenance for publishers, improved document findability and governance, and delivered secure, device-independent access—creating a scalable, well-received foundation for future phases.
