Elcom partnered with Inner West Council—formed from the 2016 merger of Ashfield, Leichhardt and Marrickville councils—to consolidate three separate websites into one modern, accessible platform. The council faced inconsistent web services across different CMSs, duplicated content, and a tiny web team that needed a world-class, user-friendly CMS to align services and improve operational efficiency.

Elcom delivered a refreshed urban design and a powerful CMS with predictive search, themed content groupings, an address-based "Around the Inner West" map, a visual "What's On" event system with community submissions and automated approval workflows, document-format widgets and an email marketing module, all WCAG 2.0 AA compliant. The result is a single site serving 182,000+ residents with personalized local services, easier content management for 40 internal groups, significant time savings through automation, and an ongoing collaborative partnership.
