Case Study: Australian Parachute Federation achieves real-time mobile membership verification and eliminates printed cards with Elcom

A Elcom Case Study

Preview of the Australian Parachute Federation Case Study

How we transformed the APF’s we bsiteand membership system

Elcom partnered with the Australian Parachute Federation (APF), the not‑for‑profit peak body representing 3,000+ licensed skydivers and 60 clubs, to address inaccurate, costly and slow printed membership cards and a fragmented membership system. APF needed a real‑time, reliable way for clubs to verify member status and qualifications at drop zones, reduce administration and environmental costs, and replace manual, paper‑based processes despite having limited in‑house technical resources.

Elcom delivered an integrated mobile app and upgraded membership platform with APIs, club dashboards, forms/workflows and push notifications, deploying on time and on budget with strong vendor support and documentation. The app replaced plastic cards, synchronises live qualification data with club systems, improved daily operations for clubs and staff, had strong member uptake, and is expected to pay for itself within the first year while enabling further automation to streamline applications and reduce manual processing.
