BetterHR, a leading Australian HR and employment relations service, needed a scalable online portal to support thousands of daily users, partners, and employees with secure HR self-service. Since 2007, BetterHR has relied on Elcom’s enterprise web management solutions, including its portal platform, to power and refine its online HR systems, and later extend them to mobile.

Elcom delivered a highly customizable portal with workflow, forms, and search capabilities, along with a new mobile app version developed with a third party using RESTful services. The solution enabled BetterHR to launch over 100 new or improved services, support more than 300 partners, and give employees and managers easier access to HR tasks and records. The mobile app added clock-on/clock-off functions with real-time and location data, while automated manager alerts and compliance-friendly record keeping improved efficiency and visibility.
