How we transformed the Chempro Chemists Intranet

Chempro Chemists, one of Australia’s fastest-growing pharmacy groups with over 150 stores in South-East Queensland and Northern New South Wales, faced fragmented store communications: messages were sent to a shared inbox so irrelevant emails were read by the wrong people and key recipients missed important notices. An initial WordPress intranet suffered from inconsistent publishing and broken links, and a subsequent agency-built solution missed deadlines and introduced last-minute bugs, leaving Chempro with a tight timeframe to find a reliable vendor.

After evaluating options, Chempro engaged Eleam (delivered on the Elcom platform) to build a user-friendly intranet with shared store logins, a single source of truth for policies and catalogues, a homepage carousel, announcements and a calendar for training and events. The fast rollout and strong support turned the intranet into the primary communication channel for 1,800 employees across 167 stores under two banners, reduced inbox overload, made resources like performance forms directly accessible, and generated positive feedback while strengthening team culture.
