Facilitating Mergers and Acquisitions Process for a Large Software Vendor to Close the Innovation Gap

PwC, a large North American provider of software solutions for retail and logistics, needed a faster way to integrate newly acquired companies into its core IT environment as part of an M&A-driven innovation strategy. Its challenge was to unify cloud and on-premises systems, normalize data formats and semantics, and do so without disrupting the acquired businesses or creating major integration costs.

To address this, PwC used elastic.io Enterprise iPaaS and its connector-based integration layer to rapidly connect acquired systems with the parent company’s infrastructure. The low-code platform, intuitive mapping tools, and SDK support helped broaden participation in integration projects and reduce reliance on senior developers, while lowering integration costs, minimizing business disruption, and speeding access to consolidated data; the case study does not provide specific numeric ROI or time-to-value figures.
