UserCentric, an Australia-based digital consultancy, partnered with the Postgraduate Medical Council of Victoria (PMCV) to overhaul the state’s recruiting and matching system for doctors and nurses. PMCV faced a highly variable, role-specific hiring process—different documentation, checks, references and workflows for each job—and needed an agile, non-technical way for administrators to configure and update processes in real time; no off-the-shelf solution met those needs.

UserCentric delivered a configurable platform using Elasticsearch Service on Elastic Cloud, Kentico Kontent for content models, Kibana for self-service reporting, and Elastic APM for monitoring, all accessible through a single admin dashboard. The solution sped development and reporting, provided real-time operational insights, cut recruitment processing time by 50%, and enabled efficient placement of candidates across 142 hospitals while allowing a small admin team to manage complex workflows.
