Thought Machine secures its enterprise, and core banking platform products with Elastic

Thought Machine, a UK-headquartered fintech building the cloud-native core banking platform Vault, needed to strengthen data protection, improve observability, and accelerate compliance with security standards like ISO 27001 and SOC 2. It turned to Elastic to support its enterprise and customer-facing security needs while maintaining the scale and flexibility required for its Kubernetes-based environment.

Elastic was implemented as the core of Thought Machine’s security incident response and observability stack, ingesting logs and endpoint data across cloud, laptops, servers, and SaaS clusters. The result was faster threat detection and investigation, including rapid identification of machines affected by the Linux “Sudo” vulnerability, and a major compliance win: Thought Machine achieved ISO 27001 and SOC 2 Type 1 within a year, with Elastic helping reduce both the time and cost of compliance.
