Swiss Life France, a leading insurer and wealth manager, launched its Vision 360 initiative as part of a company-wide Digital Foundation to unify customer information across web and mobile channels. Faced with over ten million customer records in disparate formats and siloed access for clients, salespeople, brokers and service reps, the company needed a fast, consistent way to make customer and contract data instantly available.
Swiss Life implemented Elasticsearch (with Marvel monitoring and Shield security) as the central index and single point of exposure for its MySwissLife portal and sales tools, consolidating about 23 million documents across client- and contract-oriented indices and enforcing visibility restrictions for users. The result: sub-10-second indexing and real-time queries, much faster, more responsive applications, improved cluster monitoring, and a roadmap to extend the platform to unstructured customer data.
