Telegraph Media Group (TMG) needed a better way to grow subscriptions, expand syndication, and make sense of large volumes of content and audience data spread across multiple systems. Using Elastic Enterprise Search and analytics on Google Cloud, TMG set out to unify its content and gain real-time visibility into how articles were performing.
Elastic helped TMG build a real-time analytics platform called Pulse and a Unified Content Model (UCM) to centralize about 2 million articles for syndication and distribution. The solution processes up to 40GB of data per day, stores around 400GB at any time, and gives journalists and editors instant insight into page views, dwell time, and subscription conversions, helping reduce maintenance and focus more on growth.
