Case Study: ITV achieves scalable, unified logging and DevOps visibility with Elastic

A Elastic Case Study

Preview of the ITV Case Study

Powering ITV’s DevOps Engine with the Elastic stack

ITV, the UK broadcaster behind ITV Hub and other platforms, needed a common, repeatable logging approach across legacy and modern applications. Before Elastic, teams used siloed, product-specific logging setups that relied on file systems, SSH access, and custom dashboards, making log search and dashboard creation difficult to scale.

ITV implemented the Elastic stack as the standard logging mechanism in its Common Platform, using Elasticsearch for indexing and search, Kibana for dashboards, and Logstash for ingesting multiple log sources. With **Elastic**, ITV now handles millions of logs per day on AWS, supports CloudTrail and ELB logs in the same stack, and creates dashboards in minutes, greatly improving visibility for Ops and Dev teams.
