Porsche Informatik increases performance for end-customer-relevant applications with Elastic

Porsche Informatik, the IT division of Porsche Holding Salzburg, needed a way to proactively identify performance issues across its many end-customer applications and dealer systems instead of waiting for users and merchants to report problems. The team used Elastic Observability and Elastic Log Management to monitor systems like CROSS, CarConfigurator, and other online services, helping protect response times and reliability for sales, financing, and service applications.

Using Elastic, Porsche Informatik built real-time Kibana dashboards, analyzed logs in Elasticsearch, and deployed parts of the environment in Elastic Cloud on Microsoft Azure. As a result, the support team can spot bottlenecks and root causes faster, including identifying a third-party issue before full rollout, monitor about 500 GB of data per day, and manage roughly 25 TB of stored data with high stability. Elastic also improved confidence during frequent releases and reduced dealer complaints by enabling issues to be fixed before customers noticed.
