OTTO Motors, part of Clearpath Robotics, builds self-driving industrial vehicles used in more than 40 countries to automate dangerous and repetitive tasks. Managing a large, distributed robot fleet created challenges: they needed a low-cost, easily testable system that integrated with existing software, identified problems quickly, and processed high-volume, live telemetry for individual and fleet-level path planning.

They chose the Elastic Stack for its HTTP/JSON APIs, easy integration, single-machine startup, and Kibana dashboards. Elastic now powers IoT telemetry, QA testing, IT security, and high-speed simulations—ingesting over 5,000 data points every 10 seconds per robot, aggregating data into 30-minute reports, and providing custom dashboards to surface trends—speeding development, monitoring, and scalable fleet management.
