Harel Insurance Investments & Financial Services, one of Israel’s largest insurers, set out to “recalculate routes” and digitize customer-facing processes to deliver faster, more personalized service. As they moved services online, the IT and infrastructure teams struggled to analyze vast amounts of log and operational data: manual scripting and log harvesting could take days, limiting their ability to detect performance issues and optimize the customer experience.
Harel deployed the Elastic Stack (Elasticsearch, Kibana, Logstash, Beats) and a Platinum subscription to centralize logs, metrics, alerting and analytics, giving 150+ users self-service visibility into 25 billion indexed documents. The result: 420 dashboards and 3,108 visualizations that cut investigation time from days to near real time, reduced complexity and cost by eliminating heavy data engineering, and improved digital service performance and customer experience — with plans to add automated alerting for even faster remediation.
