Global 2000 energy company boosts application and infrastructure performance, saves employee time and operations costs with Elastic Observability

The Global 2000 Energy Company, one of Brazil’s largest businesses, needed better observability across a vast IT environment supporting operations in Brazil and eight other countries. With more than 750 applications, hundreds of Oracle databases, and inconsistent incident reporting, the company was struggling with slow resolution times, manual work, and overtime costs. It turned to Elastic Observability to improve monitoring and reduce the burden on its IT teams.

Elastic implemented a monitoring and automation solution using Elasticsearch and Kibana, with integrations for ServiceNow and Jenkins to automatically detect and resolve issues. The results were substantial: incident resolution time dropped from about an hour to under 20 seconds, the company saved up to 160 hours of manual work per month, and it reduced employee overtime and business costs while improving system performance and productivity.
