Glencore, a major global commodities producer and energy trader, needed a faster, more flexible way to monitor its trading applications and reduce outage risk. Its previous event-tracking tool was slow and difficult to use, making it harder for the team to resolve issues quickly and protect revenue. Glencore turned to Elastic Observability to improve visibility across its business-critical energy trading systems.

Elastic implemented Elastic Observability on Elastic Cloud, with Elastic APM and large-scale logging across more than 100 applications. The solution helped Glencore ingest millions of logs each week, monitor latency and throughput, and speed root cause analysis with dashboards and alerts. With Elastic, Glencore improved outage response, increased visibility, and strengthened proactive issue detection across production and non-production environments.
