A Elastic Case Study
Comcast, the major telecommunications and media company behind Xfinity, needed better visibility into its increasingly complex IT environment to keep services always available and support rapid software innovation. With more than 50,000 software builds a day and millions of customer relationships to support, Comcast turned to Elastic Observability to help engineers understand how changes would perform in production and catch issues earlier in the development process.
Elastic implemented an observability approach built on Elastic Common Schema, ingesting about 400 terabytes of telemetry data per day and giving Comcast a single view across application and infrastructure layers. With Elastic, Comcast simplified its software build process, improved data consistency, and reduced total cost of ownership while accelerating innovation and enabling faster, targeted deployments with better feedback to engineers.
