ClearDATA, a healthcare cloud security and compliance provider, needed a more unified way to protect patient data and support cloud migrations while meeting strict HIPAA and GDPR requirements. Its previous mix of security tools, including endpoint security, cloud workload protection, vulnerability detection, and SIEM, was costly and inefficient. ClearDATA turned to Elastic Security to consolidate these capabilities and provide a scalable cloud security platform.

With Elastic, ClearDATA implemented a single-pane-of-glass monitoring approach using Elastic Agent and Elastic Defend to connect multiple data sources into the Elastic Stack. The results were significant: investigation times dropped from an average of six to eight hours to two to three hours, storage hardware costs were reduced through searchable snapshots, and the security team’s capacity increased to support more than 200 customers with just 11 staff.
