PhagoMed advances phage therapy with eLabJournal

PhagoMed Biopharma GmbH, an Austrian biotech developing phage-based therapeutics across three active programs (periprosthetic joint infections, urinary tract infections and bacterial vaginosis) with a team of about 15 scientists, needed a simple, fast-to-learn system to share ongoing research and onboard new employees while ensuring reliable access to documentation and lab management. To meet this challenge, PhagoMed adopted eLabNext’s eLabJournal electronic lab notebook and associated lab management modules.

eLabNext implemented eLabJournal to centralize experiment documentation, protocol management, sample tracking, -80 freezer organization, label printing and consumable ordering, making lab data safe, secure and searchable. As a result, PhagoMed gained cleaner, reproducible documentation, faster onboarding and scalable lab operations that support its 15-person team and three development programs, enabling more focused R&D and accelerated progress toward clinical validation.
