Case Study: FOx Biosystems achieves accurate, efficient lab research data management with eLabNext

A eLabNext Case Study

FOx Biosystems implements eLabJournal to accurately and efficiently manage all generated laboratory research data

FOx Biosystems, a KU Leuven spin-off developing real-time, label-free fiber-optic biosensor technology, needed a simple, accessible electronic lab notebook that could be shared by all R&D and production employees to document activities and share results. To meet this challenge they implemented eLabJournal, an ELN product provided by eLabNext, to centralize their lab data and workflows.

eLabNext deployed eLabJournal across FOx Biosystems to link samples and products in an inventory browser, centralize supply orders, manage protocols, schedule devices via a calendar/reservation tool, and document experiments with clear project–study–experiment subdivisions. As a result, all employees now use the system, the complete lab stock is centralized in a product catalog (enabling easy reordering), supervisors can review and sign off experiments, scheduling is more efficient, and traceability is improved through LOT, expiry and opening date tracking — all delivered by eLabNext.
