A eLabNext Case Study
Farmers Cut, a Hamburg-based indoor vertical farming company that developed Dryponics® for leafy greens, needed to maximize R&D effectiveness, productivity, and data security as it ran many experiments to create plant “recipes.” To avoid loss of critical knowledge and streamline capture of measurements, sample codes and images, Farmers Cut adopted eLabNext’s electronic lab notebook, eLabJournal.
Using eLabNext’s eLabJournal, the team implemented a samples infrastructure with unique IDs for racks and trays and QR-coded labels linked to storage locations, and centralized all documentation. The system sped up experiment setup and task execution, eliminated time-consuming spreadsheet merging, and made data accessible to distributed teams—improving workflow, preventing data loss, and saving significant time.
