Technical University of Madrid equips students with real-world Wi-Fi design skills in a 1-course Ekahau Pro lab

The Technical University of Madrid sought to modernize its telecommunications curriculum to equip students with practical, real-world skills required by the industry for designing and troubleshooting high-density Wi-Fi networks. To address this challenge, the university partnered with vendor Ekahau and utilized the Ekahau Pro solution for network planning and site surveying.

Ekahau's solution was integrated into the Mobile Communications curriculum, where students used Ekahau Pro to plan complex wireless networks and validate their predictive designs with onsite surveys. This provided them with hands-on experience using the industry-standard tool. The result was a successful program that gave graduating engineers valuable, marketable skills, leading the university to permanently incorporate Ekahau tools into its teaching.
