A EIZO Case Study
St. Francis Hospital, a general hospital in Nagasaki, Japan, sought to improve its diagnostics and treatment of breast diseases. The hospital faced a challenge with its mammography reading environment where images had to be displayed across two separate 5-megapixel monitors, creating an obtrusive gap between them. To address this, they chose to implement EIZO's RadiForce RX1270 monitor alongside a new Fujifilm mammography system.
The EIZO solution provided a single 12-megapixel, high-resolution screen that eliminated the gap between images, allowing for easier side-by-side comparisons of current and past mammography and tomosynthesis images. This resulted in a more efficient and stress-free reading experience; radiologists can now identify calcifications much easier and pan around zoomed images less frequently. The hospital found the monitor so indispensable for its workflow that it plans to replace all its radiologists' monitors with the EIZO RX1270.
