Inter Chalet reduces shrink across 30,000 m² with EIZO

The customer, Inter Chalet, a family-run home, garden, and DIY retailer, faced a challenge with theft and shrink across its large 30,000 m² store. To address this, they worked with vendor EIZO to implement a comprehensive security solution utilizing the vendor's DuraVision FDF2304W-IP IP decoding monitors.

The solution from EIZO involved a network of 79 cameras feeding live video streams directly to five dedicated monitors, eliminating the need for computers. Two monitors in a security office used automated red-frame alerts for suspicious behavior, while three public view monitors acted as a deterrent. An additional EIZO 55-inch 4K monitor provided a streamlined overview of all camera feeds. This implementation resulted in a significant reduction in shrink for the retailer, improved safety for employees and visitors, and provided valuable data for analyzing visitor numbers to determine staffing needs.
