Tata Communications Increases Hiring of Women 19% with Eightfold

Tata Communications Limited, part of the $100‑billion Tata Group with more than 8,000 employees, sought to prevent gender bias in screening and recruit more candidates from underrepresented groups. To address this, Tata Communications deployed Eightfold’s Talent Intelligence Platform, including gender‑masked profiles, to remove identifying information during resume review.

Eightfold implemented masked candidate profiles and a unified sourcing solution that let recruiters locate more diverse talent while hiring managers reviewed blind profiles. Tata Communications reports a 19% increase in hiring of female candidates after using Eightfold, and an internal study of 1,213 interviews showed interview shares shifted (from 42%/28% before masking to 31%/33% after), demonstrating the masking eliminated selection bias.
