Seeberger GmbH, the Ulm-based producer of nuts, raisins, dry fruit and coffee, needed more warehouse space and a reliable way to supply raw materials to production. Its existing warehouse management system from Ehrhardt + Partner was already in use for more than 20 years, but growing order and production volumes required a new approach to handling goods across three temperature zones.

Ehrhardt + Partner provided a new fully automated high bay warehouse, four driverless transport vehicles, and a new release of the LFS warehouse management system. The system controls the material flow between the warehouse and 25 production machines, and Seeberger can now store and retrieve up to 75 pallets per hour. The company says capacity has been more than tripled and raw materials are supplied 100% reliably.
