Homann Feinkost uses Ehrhardt + Partner’s warehouse management system LFS to support the storage and handling of temperature-sensitive delicacies and convenience products at its site in Dissen near Osnabrück. The company wanted to restructure its logistics processes, connect an existing automated high bay warehouse, avoid picking errors, and improve efficiency.

Ehrhardt + Partner implemented LFS with radio frequency terminals and real-time data processing, while connecting the 30-year-old automated warehouse directly to the system. Homann said the result was exact inventory management, greater process transparency, higher flexibility, shorter throughput times, and a significant increase in efficiency, with the warehouse running independently a week after implementation.
