Duttenhofer optimizes its E-commerce Six mail order companies one LFS

Duttenhofer Group, a wholesaler and online mail order company serving the photographic, consumer electronics and multimedia sectors, needed to handle thousands of different orders each day while maintaining high goods availability and on-time delivery. To reduce paper-based picking and better monitor stock levels across six mail order companies, it introduced the LFS warehouse management system from Ehrhardt + Partner.

Ehrhardt + Partner implemented LFS together with mobile data terminals to centralize control of all logistics processes at Duttenhofer’s Dettelbach center. The company reported reduced processing times and error rates, accurate and transparent inventory management, optimized routes for forklifts and transport trolleys, and higher warehouse throughput without adding staff; the system also supported up to 1,200 warehouse admissions, 2,000 stock transfers and 12,000 withdrawals per day.
