The logistics service provider was handling about 250 orders per day with 25 to 30 items each, and it wanted to maintain service levels without adding complexity to its warehouse operation. Ehrhardt + Partner supplied the Pick Manager LFS.pm software solution with Talkman devices from Vocollect and two Put-to-Light trolleys for multi-order picking. The system let Ahl process orders up to 20 percent faster and achieve time savings of 15 to 20 percent, while reducing order-picking errors and supply delays. Orders received by 3:00 pm in Ahl’s Semiramis system are now guaranteed to ship the same day.
