Delaware, the US state government, needed a replacement for Cisco IronPort Email Encryption Appliance after Cisco announced its end of life. The state had to support a mixed environment with on-premise Microsoft Exchange for state users and Office 365 for K-12 educational users, while keeping confidential email sharing simple for end users.
Egress provided Egress Switch to replace the legacy encryption system with a hybrid-friendly email and file encryption platform. The solution enabled single sign-on through Active Directory Federation Services (ADFS) across desktop, mobile, and web apps without changing user behavior, helping Delaware secure information sharing and better support its combined on-premise and cloud environment.
