A Egress Case Study

The University of Westminster selects Egress Switch encryption services to communicate confidential student and employee data securely

The University of Westminster needed a secure way to share large volumes of confidential student and employee data across departments, especially for overseas placements and study-abroad arrangements. With staff already familiar with Egress Switch, the university looked to Egress to formally integrate its email encryption service into a centrally managed security approach.

Egress implemented Switch to provide end-to-end encryption, additional access controls, and layered authentication for sensitive communications. The solution quickly expanded beyond the original use case, with other departments including HR adopting it to protect confidential employee data; the university also reported increased awareness of secure communication across staff and planned to extend use of the Egress platform further.
