Scottish Fire and Rescue Service needed a cost-effective way to securely share sensitive information with a wide range of external partners, including police, ambulance services, local authorities, health boards, schools, and community groups. Because many recipients used different secure networks — or none at all — the organization required an encryption solution that would simplify secure email and file exchange while staying within budget.

The solution’s domain-splitting capability reduced the need to know which network each recipient used, helping staff share confidential data more efficiently; Egress reported that the service adopted Switch nationwide to improve secure communication without hindering business processes.
