A Egress Case Study

Preview of the London Fire Brigade Case Study

London Fire Brigade secures confidential information and protects itself from potential liability using Egress Switch

London Fire Brigade, the UK’s second-largest fire service, needed a secure yet easy-to-use way to share confidential safeguarding information with borough councils, police, care agencies, and other partners. During a review of its safeguarding processes, the brigade identified the need to transmit sensitive data electronically without adding complexity for staff, and turned to Egress and its Switch solution.

Egress implemented Switch Secure Email, which integrated with London Fire Brigade’s existing email client and provided one-click encryption for messages and attachments, with secure sharing also extended to file transfer. The result was a simple, intuitive, and cost-effective way to protect confidential information and reduce liability, helping London Fire Brigade securely exchange data with third parties while maintaining fast response and collaboration.
