A Egress Case Study
Cafcass, which supports 140,000 vulnerable children and young people each year through the family justice system, needed a secure way to send highly sensitive information by email to external recipients outside secure networks. To protect confidential case data while moving toward digital communication, Cafcass chose Egress Switch Secure Email and Secure File Transfer.
Egress deployed over 2,000 licences across Cafcass so all staff could use secure email, with third-party recipients joining a growing network of registered users. The rollout improved secure communication, reduced reliance on postal services, and supported the Digital by Default initiative; Egress also helped drive adoption through training and awareness support.
