EIMC is a boutique marine insurance consulting firm based in Jersey City with about 30 employees, including remote investigators in port cities. The company relied on four local Microsoft file servers, forcing remote staff to store files locally and email documents back and forth—creating collaboration, backup and disaster-recovery gaps and risking the loss of remote talent.

EIMC implemented Egnyte HybridCloud, deploying an Office Local Cloud on a NETGEAR ReadyNAS at headquarters and Personal Local Cloud for remote employees to sync local drives with the cloud. The solution enabled offline access, easier client sharing and transparent case collaboration, reduced in-house servers from four to two, and delivered reliable backup and disaster-recovery while allowing staff to access and collaborate on files anytime, anywhere.
