A Egnyte Case Study
Fulton Homes, Arizona’s largest family‑owned homebuilder, needed a better way for employees and outside contractors to access and share large, high‑resolution blueprint files across 12 remote development sites with little or no connectivity. Existing approaches—FTP, email attachments and a six‑month trial with Box—created version sprawl, slow sync times and an IT bottleneck for folder permissions, leaving teams unable to reliably work with the latest plan sets.
Fulton deployed Egnyte’s hybrid solution (a local VMware appliance plus cloud) with a mapped‑drive interface and a common folder taxonomy. Subfolder permissions let content owners quickly grant and revoke contractor access without IT intervention, local storage speeds up editing of multi‑GB files, and cloud sharing provides remote access. The result: minimal training, faster workflows, strict version control and scalable, secure anywhere access for employees and contractors.
