How to Avoid Security Threats and Get More Sleep

PIB Group, a rapidly growing UK insurance advisory that expanded from 12 to over 1,400 employees through organic growth and acquisitions, faced the challenge of managing large volumes of unstructured data across many locations while maintaining security, compliance, and business continuity—especially during COVID-driven remote work. Group Information Security Officer Jason Ozin needed scalable data governance, visibility into sensitive information and access patterns, and a way to avoid constant emergency incident responses.

PIB adopted a cloud-first approach, migrating acquired data into Egnyte and integrating it with single sign‑on, two‑factor authentication, next‑generation endpoint protection, consistent patching, and trusted security partners. Egnyte preserved users’ familiar file access, gave visibility and alerts for unusual or insider activity, and enabled planned data categorization; the result was smoother M&A migrations, a rapid, secure shift to remote work, stronger governance and compliance, and reduced operational stress for the security team.
