ERRG, an environmental remediation and munitions response firm with much of its revenue tied to federal contracts, needed to achieve CMMC 2.0 compliance quickly after a ransomware attack exposed weaknesses in its legacy SharePoint setup. The company had to improve cybersecurity and document control without disrupting engineers, geologists, and construction managers who were used to broad file access, so it turned to Egnyte for a more secure, compliant system.

Egnyte helped ERRG migrate file storage to the cloud and use its secure enclave, data discovery, governance, and granular access controls to identify sensitive content and restrict access appropriately. With guidance from the Egnyte team’s CMMC expertise, ERRG has already completed about 90% of the requirements for full Level 2 compliance and is on pace to finish ahead of deadline, while also improving collaboration and overall security.
