A Egnyte Case Study

Decrease Downtime and Increase Efficiency, Collaboration and Profitability

AlJaber Engineering (JEC), a leading general contractor in Qatar working on landmark projects like the Doha Metro Gold Line and Al Thumama Stadium, struggled to share large AutoCAD files and maintain version control across hundreds of job sites with unreliable internet. Employees relied on unsecured USB drives and local copies, creating data silos, lost files, security risks and costly rework that hindered collaboration and project timelines.

JEC implemented Egnyte’s hybrid file platform integrated with its existing Microsoft stack to provide secure, unified access and fast delta sync over 4G. More than 1.7 million files (around 40 TB) have been migrated and the system supports online/offline access for ~1,000 users, eliminating USB use, speeding incident reporting, reducing downtime and IT costs, and improving collaboration, compliance and overall project efficiency and profitability.
