Community Options for Families & Youth (COFY) is a 30-person nonprofit providing therapeutic behavioral services in Contra Costa County. Because most staff work in the field and handle sensitive client records, COFY needed a HIPAA-compliant, cross-platform way to store and share files; before adopting a solution they relied on personal computers, email and flash drives, which was inefficient and risk-prone.

COFY implemented Egnyte Local Cloud with a mapped virtual server so files are backed up locally and synchronized to a central, HIPAA-compliant cloud repository. The change replaced costly on-site servers, added version control, improved collaboration and security, and gave staff flexible, anywhere access to files—significantly increasing efficiency.
