A EGenuity Case Study
Phoenix Union High School District, a 16-school district serving 26,000 largely minority and multilingual students, faced widespread failure in Algebra and Geometry and lacked sufficient support systems to help students recover critical math skills. To provide early intervention and targeted concept recovery, Phoenix Union High School District adopted EGenuity’s online concept-recovery courses for Algebra 1, Algebra 2, and Geometry.
EGenuity was deployed in math classes and dedicated intervention labs where teachers used formative data to assign specific lessons, track progress, and require students to retake assessments before grades were adjusted. The EGenuity program enabled personalized instruction, more frequent feedback, and self‑paced learning; as a result, students improved their grades, recovered foundational skills, and were more able to move into advanced coursework.
