A EGenuity Case Study
Mt. Everett Regional School, a 7–12 junior–senior high in Sheffield, MA with about 330 students, needed a digital tool to supplement social studies instruction, provide targeted remediation and challenge, and deliver just-in-time data for personalized learning. In spring 2015 the school adopted EGenuity Courseware to deliver multimodal lessons, scaffolded supports, and dashboards that teachers could use to tailor playlists and monitor mastery for 7th- and 10th-grade classes.
EGenuity was implemented as a blended model—teacher-led projects and face-to-face instruction complemented by regular lab sessions using the Courseware—and teachers used EGenuity data to customize instruction and reteach where needed. Results show strong mastery and engagement: Grade 10 Economics students achieved 100% progress and completion with a 91% average grade; Grade 7 Social Studies showed 93% progress, 90% completion, and an 81% average; overall students averaged 95% progress, 92% completion, and an 83% grade, outperforming statewide peers; students also reported clearer lesson structure, better self-regulation, actionable feedback, and increased motivation.
