Club Assist, an Australian-owned supplier of automotive parts and services to motoring clubs worldwide, faced a slow, manual pre-trip approval process that saw some managers spending up to 10 hours a week approving travel. They also needed greater visibility into travel spend and higher traveler confidence and compliance with corporate policy.
In July 2010 Club Assist moved to Egencia and its TripController tool, cutting pre-trip approvals from about 15 minutes to just 5 seconds with one-click mobile approvals and backup approvers, and gaining on-demand reporting and easy policy controls. The change drove strong traveler adoption and trust (96% online adoption), proactive traveler support, and significant cost savings: domestic air fares -11%, hotel rates -21% and car daily rates -39% versus industry averages.
