TC4A Training on the cloud in areas of limited connectivity

Tech Care for All (TC4A) is a digital health organization that sources and delivers technologies to improve care in low- and middle-income countries. Faced with severe shortages of trained clinicians (for example, some countries have only one doctor per 5,000 people) and widely dispersed healthcare workers, TC4A needed a way to deliver high-quality, timely training online through its Medical Learning Hub. To solve this, TC4A selected eFront’s eLearning/LMS platform for its user-friendly design and ability to function over limited 3G connections.

Using eFront, TC4A built a global, fully online Medical Learning Hub that streams video, hosts PDFs and presentations, runs tests and surveys, and lets global experts upload training content instantly. eFront’s platform proved reliable even on weak networks (streaming on 3G) and has made diverse training materials broadly accessible—expanding reach into distant, hard-to-reach locations and enabling ongoing skills improvement for medical staff. eFront’s solution has therefore increased the availability and scalability of TC4A’s clinician training and strengthened local diagnostic and treatment capacity.
