How a 40-year-old Engineering Firm Went From on-site Training to Online Learning

Vössing, a 40-year-old engineering and consultancy firm with over 600 employees across 20 locations, needed to modernize training that had been delivered on-site and was costly, time-consuming and hard to track. Facing rapid industry change toward Building Information Modeling (BIM), GDPR requirements and account-specific certification needs, Vössing selected eFront’s cloud LMS to provide a scalable, secure and user-friendly way to professionalize learning and make it self-paced.

eFront implemented a cloud-operated LMS integrated with Vössing’s intranet via a banner plugin, single sign-on through Azure Active Directory, and published APIs to build building-specific compliance assessments and ingest SCORM content. The result is on-demand, trackable training that eliminated frequent trainer travel, reduced time and cost barriers, improved compliance visibility and enabled Vössing to scale skill development for future needs — all delivered smoothly as part of the company’s digital workplace with eFront.
