Smooth Electronic Services in Social and Health Care Services

2M-IT, the largest publicly owned ICT provider in Finland’s social and health care sector, needed a reliable and agile development partner to build a new regional electronic services platform. The challenge was to create smooth, secure, multi-channel eServices that could work across organizations and basic systems while meeting strict data protection, logging, and future non-regional care requirements. Eficode was selected for its experience, competence, and strong DevOps capabilities.

Eficode implemented 2M-IT eServices, a comprehensive platform for secure messaging, appointment booking, forms, treatment requests, and other service processes, using technologies including Liferay, Spring, Java, Angular, MongoDB, and Activiti. The solution was rolled out in stages from May 2017 and is now used by tens of thousands of users across seven hospital districts. Eficode’s work improved usability, streamlined electronic services, and enhanced the work of social and health care professionals.
