Yle, Finland’s leading media company, wanted to improve the way its internal and external systems were developed and operated, with a focus on automation and reducing manual work. To support this, Yle engaged Eficode for a DevOps assessment to review its main IT systems, documentation, and development practices.

Eficode’s assessment followed a kickoff, interviews, analysis, and a development proposal, resulting in a detailed improvement roadmap covering areas such as documentation, cloud services, code analysis, and architectural planning. The work increased transparency and communication between teams, helped Yle move toward cloud services and microservices, improved DevOps maturity, and contributed to better service quality across platforms like YLE Areena.
