Software AG, a global provider of a Digital Business Platform with more than 4,500 employees, needed to modernize a heterogeneous DNS and DHCP landscape and prepare for IPv6. The IT team sought a consolidated, stable IPAM-based system with mass-deployment templates, global visibility of network sites, and transparent, auditable user administration that would allow regional teams to manage responsibilities without losing central control.

The company implemented EfficientIP’s SOLIDserver DDI solution in 2017, virtualizing DNS, DHCP and IPAM to provide a single management point, regional access controls and improved data quality. The rollout enabled centralized monitoring (including switch-port verification), easier onboarding for non-experts, a consolidated IPv6 test environment, planned failover redundancy, and ongoing vendor support—reducing operational overhead and increasing visibility and control across the global network.
