Sage - Customer Case Study

Sage France, the local arm of the global Sage business-software group with 2,500 employees across 20 sites, wanted to stop outsourcing its DNS and regain control. Their hosting provider’s model left internal teams dependent and slow to act—users could only create basic A records directly while other changes required host intervention—so Sage aimed for global visibility and control of DNS activity, a check-and-validate workflow for changes, and strong DNS security.

EfficientIP deployed two SOLIDserver virtual appliances on VMware, providing automated request forms, validated workflows, dynamic updates and full audit trails. Sage migrated 400 zones in 48 hours, delegated complex tasks to non-experts, and achieved high availability, performance and security while cutting DNS management costs by more than 75% (now under a quarter of the previous outsourcing budget).
